He holds degrees and diplomas from Western Brittany and Grenoble University (France), Lancaster University (UK) and Cornell (USA). He started his career at St Clare’s College Oxford where he moved up the academic steps while developing expertise in the IB Language B examination system. He eventually became IBO Deputy Chief Examiner for French B. He then worked in different schools around the world (Switzerland, Syria, West and Central Africa) at various management levels. He has rich experience in starting up new schools, implementing IBDP authorization and reinforcing IB continuum.

As an expert advisor for the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission's "Minzhi Initiative" and Secretary-General of the World Expo Global Youth Partnership, Ms. Hu demonstrates her unwavering commitment to advancing holistic education.
