CWA prepares to provide international baccalaureate diploma programme (IBDP) for Year 11 and 12 students. This curriculum aims to encourage students widely explore academic fields, inquire issue with global significance, and understand the links between local and global issues. Therefore, the purpose of IBDP is to not only cultivate students to be knowledgeable curious scholars, but also encourage them to be caring and empathetic social citizens.  

IBDP curriculum was founded in 1968. So far, there have been over 3,000 schools offering IBDP curriculum in 156 countries with good prospects. Globally, there are almost 2,000 universities acknowledging IBDP diploma and conferring diploma holders with policies about waiving partial credits or freshman year curriculums.

IBDP curriculum in CWA makes good use of abundant experiences accumulated from IBDP curriculums in UWC, shares teaching resources with UWC Changshu, regularly implements activities such as collective lesson preparation, teaching exchange, teacher interaction, continuously polish course contents and teaching methods and thereby help students understand and master the key and difficulty points of courses rapidly and accurately. Meanwhile, CWA actively conducts bilingual science teaching, brings in and trains excellent bilingual science teachers, further exerts Chinese students’ academic ability and enhances the competitive edge of Chinese students in international curriculums.
